Oklahoma City’s Winning Streak Ends

FRISCO, Texas, Feb. 3, 2017 – The Oklahoma City Blue (21-10) fell to the Texas Legends (13-15), 128-101, on Friday night, snapping its six-game winning streak.

Oklahoma City was outscored by 21 in the fourth quarter, as the Legends held the Blue to 15 points in the quarter.

The Blue went on a 14-2 run in the third quarter, taking a 75-69 lead with 7:01 left in the period. Dakari Johnson and Reggie Williams scored nine points apiece in the third quarter, as Oklahoma City took its first lead since the early minutes of the game.

OKC didn’t hold control of the game for long, as the third quarter featured five ties and two lead changes. The Legends went on a 7-1 run to close the quarter, and the Blue trailed 92-86 heading into the fourth.

Johnson finished with 25 points and nine rebounds, while Williams turned in 13 points, three rebounds and two assists.

The Blue trailed 36-24 after the first quarter. The team fell behind by 18 in the second quarter, but Josh Huestis exploded for 14 points in the period to send the Blue into halftime only trailing 63-59.

Huestis, on assignment from the Thunder, turned in 19 points, on 7-of-14 shooting, and five rebounds.

Oklahoma City is back at home tomorrow night to face the Los Angeles D-Fenders at 7 p.m. in the Cox Convention Center.
