Oklahoma City’s Win Streak Snapped

PRESCOTT VALLEY, ARIZ., Jan. 10, 2017 – The Oklahoma City Blue (15-8) fell, 94-88, to the Northern Arizona Suns (11-10) on Tuesday night.

The Blue went into the fourth quarter leading, 64-62, and led by as many as seven in the quarter. OKC fell behind by three late in the game, but a free throw from Dakari Johnson and a Josh Huestis dunk tied the game at 86-all with 1:42 left in the game before Northern Arizona went on a 8-2 run to complete its comeback.

On assignment from the Thunder, Huestis finished with 16 points and five rebounds. Johnson led the team with 21 points and added four rebounds.

The loss snapped the Blue’s season-long seven-game winning streak.

The score was tied at 18 after the first quarter. The two teams traded points until the Suns went on an 8-2 run to finish the first half and send OKC into halftime trailing, 44-38.

The Blue came out of halftime red hot, going on an 18-2 run in the third quarter. Huestis and Johnson each scored eight points in the quarter.

Oklahoma City finished with four players in double figures, including 17 points from Jannero Pargo off the bench.

The road trip continues for OKC, as it goes on to face the Los Angeles D-Fenders on the Thursday night at 9:30 p.m. CST at the Toyota Sports Center.
