OKLAHOMA CITY, Feb. 22, 2017 — The Oklahoma City Blue (26-12) couldn’t complete a fourth-quarter comeback and fell to the Sioux Falls Skyforce (23-14), 108-100, on Wednesday night.
The Blue took the lead, 90-89, with 7:06 remaining in the fourth quarter, however they were outscored in a 10-1 Skyforce run that sealed the win for Sioux Falls.
“I thought we did a good job in the third and fourth quarters, of getting stops and that is what got us back in the game,” Head Coach Mark Daigneault said. “We didn’t close the game with the same defense that got us back into the game and that’s what allowed them to regain the lead and win.”
In the first game back following the All-Star game, Dakari Johnson and Reggie Williams led Oklahoma City with 18 and 16 points, respectively.
Johnson posted his 13th double double of the season, with 14 rebounds.
The Skyforce mounted its biggest lead of the game early in the third quarter at 22 points, however the Blue outscored the Skyforce by 10 in the quarter and went into the final frame only trailing, 84-75.
Jannero Pargo led the charge for the Blue in the third, scoring eight of his 12 points in the quarter.
Oklahoma City goes to Texas next to face the Texas Legends on February 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Dr. Pepper Arena.
