SIOUX FALLS, SD, Jan. 28, 2017 – The Oklahoma City Blue (20-9) used a strong second half to defeat the Sioux Falls Skyforce (20-9), 138-119, on Saturday night.
Oklahoma City went into the fourth quarter leading, 101-91. The Skyforce cut the Blue’s lead to two points with 10:45 left in the game, but OKC responded with an 11-0 run, fueled by seven points from Dez Wells.
Wells turned in 11 points in the quarter and ended with a career-high 22 points to go along with six rebounds.
Oklahoma City shot a season-high 60.5 percent from the field, including 71.4 percent beyond the arc, as it scored a season-high 138 points.
OKC trailed by as many as 17 points in the first half of the game. Dakari Johnson scored seven points in the second quarter, and the Blue closed the half on a 9-4 run to go into halftime trailing 65-60.
Johnson finished with 21 points and nine rebounds.
The Blue opened the third quarter on a 10-0 run to take its first lead since the opening minutes of the game.
Daniel Hamilton and Reggie Williams combined for 17 points in the third quarter, as OKC outscored Sioux Falls, 41-26.
The Blue finished with seven players in double figures, led by Hamilton with 25 points. Kameron Woods turned in a career-high 13 points.
Oklahoma City stays in Sioux Falls to face the Skyforcce again on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m in the Sanford Pentagon.
