EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Jan. 13, 2017 – The Oklahoma City Blue (15-9) lost a tightly fought contest, 104-102, to the Los Angeles D-Fenders (18-5) on Thursday night.
Oklahoma City led 80-71 heading into the fourth quarter and went up by as many as 10 in the period. The Blue led 96-87 with five minutes in the game, but the D-Fenders went on a 12-2 run to take the lead for good.
Reggie Williams turned in a game-high 24 points, including 6-of-12 shooting from beyond the arc, while Thunder assignment player Josh Huestis added his second double-double of the season with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
OKC had its biggest lead at 17 points in the third quarter. Dakari Johnson scored seven points in the third and finished with 17 points and six rebounds.
The Blue trailed 33-25 after the first quarter, but outscored the D-Fenders by 20 points in the second quarter and went into halftime leading 59-47. Boubacar Moungoro scored all 14 of his points in the first half, his third game in double figures this season.
Oklahoma City returns home to face the Austin Spurs at 7 p.m. on Saturday night in the Cox Convention Center.
